After months of work, it is always a pleasure to show. Showing is one of my favourite things in the world. Below are some images from different exhibitions I have taken part in.

Projektgalerie Berlin January 2009

I showed my Velvet Hour collection at Projektgalerie during Berlin Fashion week January 2009. Being 5 months pregnant and facing financial restraints, I decided it would be best to stay in the city where I am currently based - Berlin. Some good parties - which I only attended for 5 minutes each time and some sales along the way. I think it will be Berlin for some time more, at least for the next 2 collections. But I'm feeling like hitting London soon - will have to see how it goes.

Pret a Porter. Paris September 2008

This was my first clothing collection. My debut, and what a privilege to do so in Paris. I learned a lot during my time in Paris, met plenty of interesting people and reconnected with a lady with mermaid hair. Friends traveled far and wide to come see the fish swim, like Hadba and Coletta. I did not have buyers falling over themselves for my stuff - but that will come, InshAllah. So by those terms it was not a huge success but in every other way, it was great, and look forward to returning to Paris again soon...

I also had a fairy helper with me called Andy-lopoulos, without her magic I would never have managed to keep it together as I was quite a small fish showing my Lucky Fish! collection in a very big pond. Thanks to my mum for sending her to me. And of course my <i>, I lurve u.

Bread & Butter. Barcelona 2007

I showed my accessories, my hand made rings at Bread and Butter. I had never been to a trade show before and had no idea what to expect. It turned out really well in terms of meeting buyers, selling and learning more about how the fashion industry works. Its the best way to learn - on the job. 'twas cool, like coowil. I enjoyed the people in Barcelona up until now this show has been the most successful and enjoyable tradeshow I have been to. Next time I participate, I'll bring Jam to the Bread and Butter. Watch this space.
